WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING

CAN I BRING MY OWN MOTORCYCLE

Please arrive with: 

  • Long pants covering the entirety of your legs.

  • A long sleeved shirt.

  • Fully enclosed footwear.

  • Drivers Licence.

Everything else will be provided.

OBTAINING A MOTORCYCLE LICENCE IN QLD

For the Pre-Learner course, motorcycles are provided.​

For the RE and R licence courses, you are welcome to bring your own motorcycle, it must be currently registered and in roadworthy condition. the motorcycle must also meet the requirements of the licence being applied for.

Once you have held your Provisional or Open Car Licence for a year, you are eligible to begin the process to obtaining a motorcycle licence in Queensland.

2 Day Pre-Learner 

Mandatory, regardless of Experience.

Motorcycle Knowledge Test 

Completed online,  30 Questions, fee on successful completion.

Learner Licence issued, Riders must then be supervised riding by a person who currently holds open licence for class of motorcycle they are learning to ride, and have held it for at least one year.

Hazard Perception Test  

Online, completed PRIOR to attending RE Licence, fee applied.

1 Day RE Licence 

Must have held RE Learner licence for minimum 3 months.

Upon successful completion can ride a LAMs approved motorcycle, unsupervised.

1/2 Day R Licence

Must have held RE licence for 2 years.

Must complete on a non LAMs motorcycle.
